A sixth heaven is a drink I made when i didnt have the ingredients for a 'Seventh Heaven' from Ted Haigh's book "Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails". I was drunk on New Year's Eve 2012, and didnt have grapefruit juice or maraschino liquer, so I subbed SodaStream's diet grapfruit concentrate and maraschino juice, and played with it till it was right. When i bought the ingredients and made the real one, i decided mine was not as sublime (being kind of sweet and coy) so I named it a "sixth heaven", since it was below a "seventh heaven".
The Sixth Heaven Cocktail:Edit

Shake with ice, garnish with a maraschino cherry. Serves 2.
